2016 AGM

Ambleside Angling Club AGM 2016

  • No change to fee’s £90 and £100 for non HLLA member’s payable in 2 instalments February and March.
  • Dispensation given to special needs cases as determined by Chairman.
  • Guests wanting to fish any month must contact either Bob Styles or Steve Bedford to ascertain if any places available. Guests will pay the day's peg fee and will be entitled to enter the Golden Peg draw but will not be eligible to compete for the main prize fund. Guests will not be eligible for the specimen fish prizes.
  • Eighteen (18) pegs will be booked for each match, peg markers will retain the authority to determine pegs used on the day.
  • Specimen Fish sponsored by Bob Styles
    • Largest Roach over 1Lb £50 price
    • Specimen fish excluding Roach £50 prize
  • Xmas Pairs  sponsored by Dave Harrison
  • Champion Angler:
    • To be determined by points system counting maximum of eight highest scoring matches from the ten scheduled.
  • Start Times: 8am meet, 8:15 draw, match times 9:30 to 14:30
  • Latecomers will be allocated pegs by the peg markers and not be able to choose their own.
  • Confirmation of 1 Rod Rule, “only 1 line in water at any time”
  • Juniors: will draw first and guardian allocated closest peg available to supervise, guardians to always be aware of local fishery rules relating to juniors.
  • Fishing area: All anglers must be mindful of keeping within their own area, this is designated as the area to the left and right of the allocated peg either half way to the next angler or in the case of an empty peg, up to and no further than the empty peg. In all cases clarification will be the responsibility of the peg markers.
  • Peg Markers: Bob Styles and Steve Bedford,
  • Club record 128Lb 10ozs – A special prize will be awarded to any club angler who exceeds this weight during the season, sponsored by Dave Harrison
  • Weighing in: the peg markers will nominate the persons responsible on the day for weighing in as determined by the two pegs closest to the car park ( at peg markers discretion)
  • Prize Money: each division shall pay prize money each month as follows 1St £25, 2nd £15, 3rd £10 (which will be split if joint winners)
  • New weighing equipment to be purchased as necessary.
